Student Edition Activation Guides

A printed Activation Guide was packed with your original order.  The Activation Guide walks teachers through the process of setting up an account on this site you can use to activate and manage student edition subscriptions.  If you cannot find your Activation Guide, you can download a PDF version HERE.

Teacher (Administrator) Accounts

The activation and subscription management process is managed through a web browser on this site. To assist other teachers or adminsitrators with opening accounts, direct them to www.ucsmpdigital.com where they can complete these steps:

You will be redirected to the order authorization page.

  • Here you can add Invoice numbers to gain access to existing or newly purchased Online Student Edition subscriptions.

  • Previously activated orders will automatically appear.  Remember, there may still be unused subscriptions in your existing orders.

The page will display your currently available titles and remaining number of subscriptions available for activation.

  • Select the book(s) you are activating online subscriptions for and the number you need of each title.

The system will generate printable sheets of each student userID and initial password. 

  • You can print the forms right from the browser for distribution to students in the classroom.

A confirmation email summarizing your activity will be sent to you within 3 hours. 

Desktop/Laptop Operation

Students will open their accounts using a web browser (Chrome highly recommended) and access their Online Student Edition textbooks at ucsmp.read.inkling.com.

 

Mobile Devices

Students can use the Inkling mobile application for iOS or Android on tablets and smartphones.

Using your device in the App Store or on Google Play, search for “Inkling”.

Download and install the Inkling application only.  Do NOT install Inkling eBooks.
